About Renata

Renata Lynn Atkinson is an herbalist with a clinical practice in Greenbelt, MD. Renata helps purpose driven women build a foundation of wellness while tending to their unique health concerns, so they can do their work in the world with passion and vitality. She brings to her practice a scientific background, education and experience in clinical herbalism and nutrition, her love of nature and deep respect for the healing process to give her clients individualized support on their healing path. Renata holds a Master of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism and a Post Masters Certificate in Clinical Herbalism from Maryland University of Integrative Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from University of Maryland.

When she's not in the clinic, Renata can be found tinkering with Earthskills, in the garden and out and about the forest with her family, friends and two Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

Nurture connection with community by hosting community based, donation based events that support local causes; and to nurture connection between others in my community.

Never to turn anyone away from a donation based event for lack of funds.

Cultivate a safe space where trust, openness of heart, honest sharing and vulnerability are cherished and protected.

Never dismiss, belittle, or feed another’s (or my own) fears and insecurities.
